MDA Terms of Service

For the MDA Discord bot, dashboard, appeals system and public site.

Effective date: September 1, 2026

These terms are the rules for using MDA. By adding it, configuring it, playing a match through it, or using the dashboard or the website, you accept them, and Discord's terms alongside them.

Services Covered

The MDA Discord bot, the staff dashboard, the appeals system, the public site and its leaderboard, and murderduelscomp.com.

Discord Relationship

MDA is not affiliated with Discord Inc. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Using MDA also requires you to follow Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any other Discord platform rules that apply to you.

Server Staff Responsibility

Server owners and the staff they appoint decide how MDA is configured: which match types and divisions exist, who is allowed to host, who is restricted, and what gets published. They are responsible for configuring it lawfully and for being clear with their community about what is recorded and what is public.

Competitive Integrity

MDA exists to keep an accurate competitive record, so the following are not allowed:

Staff may void matches, correct results, adjust standings, and restrict accounts in response to any of this.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

Results, Disputes and Appeals

Results are submitted and confirmed by the people who played, and reviewed by staff when they are disputed. Moderation and result decisions belong to the staff of the server the match was played in, and their decision is final there. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee a reply, a review, or a reversal.

Restrictions and Blacklists

Staff can stop an account from hosting or entering matches, with or without an expiry date. Where a server enables the appeals system, appeals against a restriction go through it.

The Public Record

Matches, results, rosters and standings are published on the website and are visible to anyone. By entering a match you accept that the match, your part in it, and its result become part of a public record.

Records are not removed because a player is unhappy with the outcome. What can be removed, and what will be anonymised instead of deleted, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Dashboard Access

Dashboard access is granted by a server's administrators and is tied to your Discord account. Do not share it, and do not use it to reach data you were not given access to. Access can be withdrawn at any time by the server that granted it.

Availability and Changes

MDA is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. Features may be added, changed or removed, the service may be interrupted, and no level of uptime is promised.

Termination or Restrictions

Access to MDA can be limited or removed at any time, including for breaking these terms, for abusing the service, or for putting its infrastructure at risk. A server can remove MDA at any time.

No Warranties

MDA is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of any record, or uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MDA and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost or corrupted data, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Privacy

What MDA collects, publishes and keeps is described in the MDA Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as MDA changes. The effective date above will be updated when a material change is made.
